Stress Induced Crochet & Day 6: CLF Birthday CAL instructions

Pics coming I promise! I’m just running behind schedule, if you hadn’t noticed the website had a wee little crash yesterday, it was ever so exciting and I learned how to do even more new things in the land of computer code. It wasn’t exactly my plan, and it induced a major crochet session to recouperate.

I mean first of all, I think you should be able to scream and rant when your site crashes after an update, but oh no, I was in the public library so all I could do was slowly /face palm and groan a little. Well, ok to be honest I’m going to admit to muttering under my breath while I made a few texts screaming for help. Yes, you can indeed scream for help in texts, it looks like this: HELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLPPPPPPPPPPP! and HALP!!  I don’t do it often, that’s how my special computer elf knows it’s for real.

By the time everything was fixed, my brain was tired, my stomach was rumbly, and so I decided that perhaps a lunch and crochet break were in order. Just the thing too! I ran into Pinch Knitter Yarns in Stanwood, and low and behold there was Karen Whooley teaching her beginning crochet class! I had totally spaced she was going to be there this Tuesday, it was great to see her. (By the way I’m signed up for her Tunisian Knit Stitch Enreloc Class on July 19, please if you live locally to the Stanwood, WA area  sign up too. It’s my birthday present to myself and I REALLY want there to be enough students!)

Retreat Blurb: Day Passes

Speaking of classes, I’ve had several emails from local folk (people in Snohomish County, WA) who want to come to the retreat with our Day Pass. They have asked if the day pass includes a morning class. Yes it does. It is  only availalbe for Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday of the retreat. More Retreat Info is available here on our website!

Day 6: Instructions

Change yarn completely and add 4 rows of double crochet to any part of the first piece we made on days 1-3. (If you have textured yarn, this is a great place to use it to add a bit of height and interest.)

Hint: using the schematics found on our CAL digest page start deciding where you are going with the two separate pieces you have made. For me, I’m using one for my right panel start, and one for my left panel start.  Pics soon, I promise.
