Hard to find crochet supplies: Slipper Soles 3

Slipper Grippers

I can dedicate a post a month to hard to find crochet supplies.

Crochet supplies include things besides yarn and hooks, patterns and books. I’ve been digging around looking for things I wish I could find locally.  I live in rural Washington State, so finding some of this stuff in a 20 mile radius can be tough. Thank heaven’s for the interwebz!

Slipper grippers, now that’s pretty cool. I make little ballet slippers for the wee girls. No-slip soles makes things so much better for the kiddos.  I like that you can cut them to fit and then just sew them to slipper tops or over the top of your crochet slipper sole.

These are $3.99 at JoAnn Fabric and Crafts on-line.  If you click the picture to the left it will take you straight to the store (JoAnn.com), and the CLF will get a little something.

Are there supplies for your projects that you are looking for? Purse handles? Jewelry findings? Crochet thread? Hooks? Patterns & Books? Yarn? Beads? Safety eyes? Leave a comment below to let me know what kind of hard to find crochet supplies you want me post.

I always used to make crocheted toilet tissue dolls with a 7-1/2″ plastic doll, haven’t been able to get them in years. The pink wiggle eyes That I use for my crochet bunnies are hard to get too. I had purchased a large bag on Ebay, but now I’m running low and need to find more. Not exactly a crochet item, but the kithcen towels I use for my towel toppers are hard to find in Seasonal designs. I can find Christmas ones, sometimes a few for Thanksgiving/ Fall. I have never been able to find any for Easter, St Patty’s day , Valentines day or Halloween. The best I can do is buy plain towels and add crochet appliques. I would love a source for printed terry holiday towels.
