The Road to Reno Day Four: Set up Begins and Show Preview! 2

So, my blog posts are a little delayed. With set up and showtime, I didn’t hit the computer until Saturday night so here’s a quick run down on the awesome of Day 4!

Monica (craftwich creations), Debra (www.mycrochetkits.com), Mom (my mom), Laurinda Reddig (www.recrochetions.blogspot.com) and myself, set to work making the booth look spiffy.

This is how the booth looked for the Thursday night show preview

Now, I will admit, I felt really comfortable coming into this show. I was not nervous, how could I be with such crochet awesome to display? But I did not expect the OVERWHELMING positive response at the show preview! When the doors opened crochet lovers descended upon the booth and it was heady, surreal and amazing!

I don’t think any of us stopped grinning. It wasn’t the sales that had us amazed, it was the positive response and support of the crochet community. The people who were delighted to see our booth, the people who felt represented, and the people who came up shyly and said, “thank you, thank you for making us real.”

I was humbled and honored. My response is: No, thank you. Thank you for believing!

Such a great idea to have a CLF booth at Chain Link! The booth looks wonderful! Love seeing the photos because I’m way over here on the east coast. And we were so happy to be able to participate as an Indie Pro Plus member with our Jelly Yarn since we couldn’t attend. Thank YOU for always leading us along the crochet way!
