Phuzzy Photos: Photos make or break you!

Let me tell you a secret. Well, okay it’s not really a secret, but I’m a crappy photographer. You can hand me a Gillion TetraGigawatPixel super dooper fancy camera and I will still screw up 8 out of 10 shots. Why? Cause I’m visually impaired, the last time I saw with 20/20 vision I was eating graham crackers for snacks and taking naps..oh wait I still do that… so I was 5.  This raises an important point, because it was one of my great frustrations in trying to do collaborative work with people.  No matter what I wrote, said, put into guidelines, carved into clay tablets, I could not shake people’s belief that if they had a 12 mega pixel super deluxe camera then the photos had to be good.

I’m going to say what comes next in REALLY big bold letters.

IT DOES NOT MATTER HOW MANY MEGA PIXELS YOUR CAMERA HAS IF YOUR PHOTOS ARE BLURRY

or

Under exposed, back lit and out of focus

IT DOES NOT MATTER HOW MANY MEGA PIXELS YOUR CAMERA HAS IF YOUR PHOTOS ARE UNDEREXPOSED

or

I DO NOT CARE HOW MANY MEGA PIXELS YOUR CAMERA HAS IF YOU CAN’T FRAME A SHOT

Was I shouting? Oh, sorry I will use my inside voice now.

Look folks, the internet is a visual and interactive playground of curious people who love to look at  projects and photos. Maybe you want to show off your stuff to your fellow crochet lovers on hookey.org or maybe you really want to sell your handmade items, or even become a designer. Guess what, especially if you are going to self publish YOU NEED To HAVE GOOD PHOTOS!

Good photos mean you have good lighting, a good set up and scene, that you focus on the project, that your picture isn’t out of focus or too bright or too dark. Good photos make or break a blog, Etsy store, magazines and books. Even if you just want to share your things, knowing some photography basics is important. I can take passable photos with a lot of effort because I studied photography, I know I have no depth perception, I know I’m blind in one eye, I know I don’t see in focus to start with, so I do the best I can! My dear friend and professional photographer taught me a lot about how to take great photos even with defective eyeballs, so I know how important this information is!

Photography is ESSENTIAL to your success!!! That is why I jumped at the chance to have Jason Mullett Bowlsby of the Shibaguyz Designz Team teach you how to take GREAT photos with everyday photo equipment! That’s right you don’t need thousands of dollars worth of equipment to take great photos, but you do need to understand the basics.  Jason is a brilliant photographer and a fabulous teacher!   This is a great opportunity, classes like these normally cost well over $100, but we have made sure this is affordable!

The class will be recorded so that if you forget to show up or life gets in the way, you will have access to the information for a limited time. This class will not be an on-demand offering on a continuing basis like our other classes.

Time’s running out and there’s limited space so don’t forget to register today!  [button link="https://events.r20.constantcontact.com/register/eventReg?llr=aqkmqleab&oeidk=a07e5vzpis924221d80" bg_color="#8c2a8c"]Register [/button]
