CLF News: 2010 Crochet Awards Nominees for Best New Designer

Hey there CLFers and Crochetiers! Don’t forget that voting ends on March 22, this coming Monday! Then mark your calendars to find out who the winners are on the Getting Loopy Podcast with Mary Beth Temple on Monday April 19, 2010.  The show will be live and crazy, and we will make every effort to avoid technical difficulties, but no promises! (And for you Loopyites, yes there really is the “Evil British Lady” talking into your ear when you are a guest on that show, it’s not just a figment of MBT’s imagination!)

Best New Designer is my favorite category! Many of these people have crocheted for a long time, but have only recently started selling their designs. Others are young and tenancious getting out there early in life! So cool to have nominations in a variety of areas, from fashion and accessories to amigurumi! Way to go CLF for remembering that our craft is vast with potential! So, let’s just have a huge virtual round of applause for starting your publishing career to these folks! It’s not easy to write good patterns, and I think we should all be more appreciative of those who do!
